September
26, 2006, the conference rooms at the Dallas Convention
Center
First Session: 12:30p - 2:30p
Second Session: 3:00p - 5:00p
This seminar is designed to give business and professionals who have little or no knowledge of nanotechnology a broad overview of the field. Attending this seminar will enhance the participant's conference experience by explaining, in a non-technical way, what nanotechnology is and how it will affect all of us in the near and long-term. Seminar participants will better understand and benefit from the many in-depth presentations to be provided throughout the conference. While the seminar will discuss nanotechnology as it relates to many existing and emerging industries, the primary focus will be on the four areas highlighted by the conference: Semiconductor (NEMS/MEMS); Biomedical (Health Sciences); Defense/Aerospace (Homeland Security), and; Energy/Chemical (Environment).
Major topics will be:
- What is nanotechnology
- What areas and industries does it affect
- What are basic processes that are currently used in the industry
- What economic effect will this emerging field most likely have
"So, when you attend the nanoTX '06 conference, expect to see some amazing things.
If you attend the Nanotech 101 Seminar first, expect to also understand them."
